Digital techniques__concept of Minterm and Maxterm


The concept of Minterm is term from canonical SOP form. It is generally performing ANDing operation. Minterms represents zero and written as a BAR over variable.

The concept of Maxterm is term from canonical POS form. It is performing ORing operation. Maxterm represents one and written without BAR over variable.
